BYD’s Thailand Factory Rolls Out Its 10,000th New Energy Vehicle.

Recently, BYD automobile announced that the 10,000th new energy vehicle from its Thailand factory officially rolled off the production line at the Rayong base on November 8, marking it as the fastest Chinese car brand to achieve this milestone in Thailand. Since the beginning of this year, BYD’s market share of new energy vehicles in Thailand has been steadily increasing. In the first three quarters, BYD sold a total of 22,000 new energy vehicles in Thailand, a year-on-year increase of 22.9%, making it the only brand among the top ten car brands in Thailand to achieve positive growth in the first nine months of this year.

On July 4th, BYD’s factory in Thailand officially completed its construction and began production. At the same time, BYD’s 8 millionth new energy vehicle rolled off the production line at the Thailand factory. It took BYD less than four months to go from the 7 millionth to the 8 millionth new energy vehicle. At the ceremony, BYD Chairman Wang Chuanfu stated that BYD entered the Thai electric taxi market in 2018 and the Thai passenger car market in 2022, and has been the sales champion of new energy vehicles in Thailand for 18 consecutive months. Wang Chuanfu further mentioned that BYD will launch more pure electric and plug-in hybrid models in Thailand in the future and achieve localized production, aiming to bring advanced new energy vehicle technology to Thailand.

On September 25th, the ceremony for the rollout of BYD’s 9 millionth new energy vehicle was held at the Shenzhen-Shanwei factory, just over two months after the 8 millionth new energy vehicle rolled off the production line.
